I really need to get better about posting on my blog!
It has been crazy summer! Kyle and I moved to Southern Utah, and just recently Kyle was offered a job back in Salt Lake as a paint prepper. So, he's in Salt Lake working and finding us an apartment, and I'm in St. George waiting. I am not excited about the move, simply because I'm so far along in my pregnancy, but the Lord works is mysterious ways.
We found out that we are having another little boy! His name will be Triston David. I am so excited even though I was hoping for a little girl, but where Ashton and Triston will be so close together it will be good for them to have each other as little playmates! Hopefully we will be the next ones to have a baby because then it will be a little girl! That's how it seems to work for our family. Boy, girl, boy, girl pattern! Triston will hopefully be here around the middle of October. My expected due date is October 18th, so we'll see. I feel like things are going so much quicker with this pregnancy. Which is fine, I just don't want Triston to be born a premie. He can come as long as he's healthy.
Ashton is definitely keeping me on my toes! He is so active and keeps me very busy. I have hardly gained any weight with this pregnancy, just because I'm so active! A whole whopping 11 pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight! That will just mean I have less baby weight to lose after! Ashton is growing up so quickly I can't believe it. He is talking so well and he loves to sing songs, read books, dance, and of course play. His favorite song is The Itsy Bitsy Spider. He loves to listen to music and dance to it. When we're in the car he'll bob his head to the beat of the music. He is so smart. He is learning how to clean up his toys and where they go. I'm going to try and teach him some numbers and the alphabet when he's about 18 months old. I found a cute toddler book pattern that I can adjust and make several different books, so he can learn his shapes, numbers and letters! He is starting to get on a good eating and sleeping schedule. He knows that when mommy puts him in his crib, it's time to go to sleep. He's down to just one nap a day and it totally makes a difference in his behavior and attitude if he gets that nap or not.
Kyle is loving his new job. He is working at Abra Auto Body and Glass in West Valley. He loves it there. He feels like he has already learned so much from this job. I am so proud that he is doing what he wants to be doing and is happy!
I am still working at American Eagle (very little, thankfully!). When I get back to Salt Lake I'm just going to switch to the floorset team so I can keep my benefits, but not work nearly as much. I also plan to go to school either in January or in the spring. Hopefully in January, but I may not be ready to leave Triston yet. I can't believe we are already in September. Ashton is 16 months old today! He is growing up so fast and I'm glad that I am able to stay home and watch him learn and grow. I'm thankful that Kyle wanted a job where he is making enough so I can stay home with our children.
Life is good for us right now and it just keeps getting better everyday!
