Resolutions

I know it's a little late to be making my resolutions, but at least I'm making them.

First: Get in shape. I know what you're all thinking, "You are already so skinny!" I know I may be skinny, but I don't want to lose weight, I want to get in shape. I want to get my muscle back that I have lost over the past 3 years.

Second: Get into a better routine and schedule. Lately, I haven't felt very motivated to do much of anything, and I think that if I can get into a better routine and get myself and the kids on a schedule then I may feel better and get some things done.

Third: Get ORGANIZED! I have so many things that I just feel are so unorganized, i.e. the storage shed, paper work, my kitchen, my bedroom, the kids bedroom, the bathroom... Pretty much every single room in my house! Plus get organized with finances.

Fourth: Blog more. I know, that's not really important, but I have so much family that lives far away, that I just want to get better about posting the latest events in mine and my family's life. So it's really for the benefit of all of you that I keep this resolution.

So, along with my last resolution, I will just post what has been happening in our lives recently.

Triston has grown up so much and I just can't believe that he is already 3 months old. It amazes me how fast time flies. He is sleeping consistently through the night (knock on wood... I don't want to jinx myself!), which has been so nice. Although, he will wake up anywhere between 5 and 6 to eat. But he's sleeping 8-9 hours without waking up to eat! Now if I just went to bed when he did, then I wouldn't be so tired when he did wake up to eat. He is getting so strong! He has been able to roll from his tummy to his back a couple times, and has almost rolled from his back to his tummy. He has started to take interest in toys and other things and tries to grab things that are in front of him.

Ashton. Where do I start with him! He has entered what I call the "terrible toddler" phase (I decided that it's not just when they are 2 it's the entire time they are considered a toddler). He loves to scream and run around, often at the same time. He climbs on everything! from the chairs to the tables, and the couch. He has even tried to scale the shelf we have our fish tank on. I am constantly telling him not to do things. But unfortunately with his age, his listening skills are not that great. He is still a sweet boy though. He will stop playing and come up to me just to give me a kiss. It just melts my heart, and I just forget about the little terrorist he has been. This past Saturday, he was playing with a folding camp chair and pinched his finger. It bled a little, but I didn't think it was too bad. A few days later, I noticed his finger nail had started to lift off the nail bed. Yesterday the nail fell off. I tried to get a good picture of it, but they all came out too bright and blurry. He is just being a typical little boy!

Kyle has been super busy at work. A couple weeks ago he was able to take a paint tinting class, and he passed the test with 100%! I knew he would, but he was worried because the first night of the class, he wasn't understanding things. But he read the book, and asked the painter questions, and felt much better the next day for the test. He is getting so good at painting things. Here are a few pictures of what he has painted so far.

His Racing Helmet

You can see the metallic, and all the airbrushing.

They used a paint called "candy" which is a tinted clear.

His Playstation... Silly, I know, but I think it turned out kind cool!

He is becoming so talented at painting. He wants to learn how to do custom painting. If he did that and was good at it, he can make about double what he would as a normal painter!

I have been adjusting to being a mommy of two kids. It's been a struggle at times, but I'm slowly getting the kids and myself on a better routine. I have some goals that I am hoping to accomplish this year. I want to start school sometime this year. I don't know when but I'm hoping it will be no later than this fall. It will be so much easier for me and for Kyle if I wait till Triston is older and is eating more solid foods.

I was reading one of my friends blogs and she had named a lot of her luxuries, and it reminds me of all that I have to be grateful for. I take a lot for granted. I have been so blessed in my life. I have a wonderful husband and two beautiful boys. They all light up my life. I was feeling very depressed yesterday, and I wasn't sure why, but I think of these things that I do have and I realize things could be so much worse. I am blessed with great friends and family.

I hope to get into the habit of blogging a lot more this year. So stay tuned :)
